ENERGY ON THE MOVE
by John Welham

No, this is not about how to retain your resources as you walk and talk to the next pub. It is about a couple of ways of getting the best out of your motorhome whilst on the move or parked up for longer periods without mains electric. Batteries and gas are what it is all about.READ MORE? Going abroad?
Did You Know
It is a legal requirement to carry your original vehicle documents abroad. You need to take V5C document (log book), insurance certificate and MOT certificate (if your car or motorhome is three or more years old). It is also advisable to take your caravan insurance and CRiS paperwork. Make photocopies of all your documentation or, better still, scan them and email them to yourself-this way you can access them wherever you are.

Old News

The search for the perfect set up continues.
Those who know me will be well aware that I want a Tardis (Dr. Who) style van, small on the outside and big on the inside. Whilst that technology is developed my thoughts have turned to panel van conversions (campervan) but objections to that have been made – not enough room she says! During a discussion on the matter at Greenhills I advanced another scheme – a campervan and small caravan. My argument was it would be the ultimate in flexibility. I was laughed out of the discussion but just then what should arrive at reception but my dream set up. See picture.
Talking to the owners I learnt that the tiny caravan dates from 1953 and was made in Holland. How many modern vans will be around in 65 years time?
