PAINT COLOUR MATCHING
While in France this year a fence post on a site came out and hit the side of my H680 Laika. This affected both the grey and white on the passenger door. On return I asked Lowdhams for the paint codes but they could only provide the white code after referring back to Italy! White is Fiat ‘Bianco 210’ which is available in Halfords by spray can.
The grey however was a problem which I took to a local car paint shop wholesaler. They had many swatches of colour samples and we quickly agreed on ‘repsol grey ct 6082. They then produced for me a large spray can, in 5 minutes flat, which was a perfect match, for just £9. Matching a metallic may be a lot harder, but still worth a try locally if you have a problem.

Paint Colour Matching
With reference to Geoff’s information regarding paint in the last issue, owners seeking Fiat White should be aware that Fiat Blanco is year specific. The pale grey to which Geoff referred is probably Fiat (2002) Grigio Luce 631A available from Halfords paint matching service at £12.50 per spray can and a perfect match on my Ecovip (Lowdham’s price £147/litre!). It also seems highly likely that other Laika side skirt/rubbing strip colours are of Fiat origin, this being the case, they can be identified by perusing through colour swatches held at most Halfords or decent car body repairers.
